Prime Minister Narendra Modi, upon his return from a state visit to Sri Lanka, shared a special moment of spiritual significance, revealing that he was fortunate to witness the Ram Setu from the skies and, coincidentally, the ‘Surya Tilak’ of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya happening at the same time.

“On the way back from Sri Lanka a short while ago, was blessed to have a Darshan of the Ram Setu. And, as a divine coincidence, it happened at the same time as the Surya Tilak was taking place in Ayodhya. Blessed to have the Darshan of both,” the Prime Minister posted on X.

He further added, “Prabhu Shri Ram is a uniting force for all of us. May His blessings always remain upon us.”

PM Modi landed in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, earlier on Sunday, after concluding his three-day diplomatic tour in Sri Lanka. At the Colombo airport, he was seen off by Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

During his visit to Rameswaram, the Prime Minister inaugurated the New Pamban Bridge—India’s first vertical lift sea bridge—spanning 2.07 kilometres across the Palk Strait. The bridge is seen as a landmark in India’s modern infrastructure and engineering capabilities.

Meanwhile, in Ayodhya, on the occasion of Ram Navami, the sacred ‘Surya Tilak’ ceremony took place at Ram Janmabhoomi, where a precisely aligned beam of sunlight illuminated the forehead of the Ram Lalla idol at noon, forming a divine tilak. Devotees and priests offered special prayers during this celestial moment.

The Ram Setu, also known as Adam’s Bridge, is a 48-kilometre-long chain of limestone shoals, believed in Hindu mythology to have been constructed by Lord Ram and his Vanara army to reach Lanka and rescue his wife Sita. The bridge stretches between Rameswaram (India) and Mannar Island (Sri Lanka), and holds deep religious and historical significance.

PM Modi’s remarks and experiences have once again highlighted the enduring spiritual and cultural legacy of Lord Ram, whom he described as a symbol of unity and inspiration for all Indians.
